"I attended Heather’s Living Kitchen class last week where I learned how to make sourdough bread. How she managed to have examples of the process in each state (feed, mix, rise, knead, bake) I’ll never know, but I suspect it involved algebra. The “classroom” was beautiful and we got to snack during class (hibiscus tea, kombucha, fresh bread, and salted ghee). Caring for my starter is easy and is quite fascinating as it demystified bread in many ways. Knowing that bread is essentially flour and water makes me feel a lot better about enjoying it with dinner. I bought some high quality organic flour, and yesterday I made sourdough banana bread.
